Our work day
The Montessori classroom is a child’s world. It is geared to the size, the pace, and interests of children. It is designed to put the children at ease by giving freedom in an environment prepared with attractive learning materials. The Montessori classroom includes children of different ages. By placing a child in such a classroom, they are exposed to a wide range of possibilities. When they first begin school they will have the benefit of learning from older and more experienced children. Later on, they will be able to help others with the learning skills they have already mastered. Your child will thus develop social skills and cultural sensitivity which are essential in today's world.
The Montessori method of education places emphasis on the child progressing at their own pace under well guided supervision. The child is given a presentation by the teacher, and individual time is spent with the child to ensure that the child understands what is expected. Students are guided based on the teacher’s observation. Individual plans are formulated for each child. Parents are kept informed of the child’s progress from time to time.

Arrivals - health checks, temperature check, hand washing, preparations to start the day.
08:30am - 09:00am
Outside Play - (Varies with weather conditions)

Snack Time - (Nutritional snacks are served)

Montessori Activity Time - The children are invited to work with the Montessori materials and apparatus for Math, Practical Life, Sensorial, Language. Children are given daily lessons in the areas of Arts, Science, Discovery, Reading and Cultural subjects. Directress and guides help as needed.
10:30am - 11:00am
Circle Time - It consists of story telling, group lessons, music, weather, calendar, culture and much more.
11:00am - 12:00pm
Outside play time - (If weather permits), this is a time for the children to develop their large motor skills. Art and exploration of their environment are always a big part of outdoor play. This is also a time to take care of some of the gardening, raking, watering the plants and, of course looking for earthworms.
12:00pm - 12:45pm
Lunch - All children are invited to stay for lunch, even half-day children who leave at 12:30pm. The children bring their own lunch. We encourage that parents provide a zero-waste lunch using re-usable containers, lunchtime is a very social time of the day for the children.
01:00pm - 03:00pm
Nap time - Children are encouraged to take a healthy nap.
03:00pm - 03:15pm
Wakeup Time - Children get up from nap they are taught how to roll their nap mats and blankets to be put in place.
03:15pm - 03:45pm
Afternoon Snack - Healthy nutritious snacks are provided.
03:45pm - 05:00pm
Creativity time - Each afternoon the children will be invited to do arts, music, movement, exercise and outdoor play activities may vary depending upon the weather conditions.
05-00pm - 05:30pm
Cleanup time - Cleanup and the day ends.
We serve 2 nutritious snacks for full day and 1 snack for half day students.
